BAM Info

BAM = Befriend A Mission

If you want to receive more detailed info about our BAM assignments, contact our LWMS circuit board vice president, Janice Moore (janicemoore84@gmail.com).  Your church’s LWMS reporter should also have a copy of this information.
LWMS women love missions and the missionaries who serve them. One way this is apparent is through the Befriend A Mission program (BAM). Our circuit is assigned two to three home and world missions to support for a two year period. These three missions will be supported by our circuit until January 2027.
What can you do to support these missions? Pray for the missionary, his family and the mission field. Send cards of encouragement and check and see if they have any specific needs, projects or gifts that will encourage and enhance their ability to serve in their calling.

St. Peter Lutheran Church

Milwaukee, WI

Pastor William Dunn

pastordunn@stpetermilwaukee.com

Pastor William Dunn was called to St. Peter Lutheran Church in 2016 to start and minister to the Spanish community in the area. The associate pastor at St. Peter retired in 2021 and Pastor Dunn became the sole pastor of St. Peter. In November 2024, a sister congregation in Milwaukee within a couple of mi !es of St. Peter, Christ Lutheran, made the decision to close. Several of the members are transferring to St Peter. At one time, Christ Lutheran had a school and Pastor Dunn is attempting to connect with several of the youth that went to school at Christ Lutheran. Please pray for Pastor Dunn as he

assimilates the two congregations into one plus continues the Spanish Mission.

Pastor Doug Van Sice moved to Huntersville in July 2017 and began his work as the first pastor of a new mission, Hunterville Lutheran Church. Hunterville Lutheran Church has been using various rented spaces for their church services. In 2021 they purchased a 5
acre parcel ofland. The construction of their new church is scheduled to be completed in the spring of 2025. Needless to say, they are eagerly looking forward to worshiping in their new church building.
Please pray for this new congregation as it completes it’s church building and takes on the mortgage debit. It is an exciting time for this congregation. May our Lord continue to bless it.  Find more info about the church at Huntersville Lutheran Church

“I thank my God every time I remember you. In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy because of your partnership. In the gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus. ”  Philippians 1:1
