Friends Network – Aaron Wakeman  

Friends Network(formerly Friends of China and Friends of Vietnam) has trained and supported lay missionaries since the year 2000.  Aaron has been involved with Friends Network since 2004.  He lived in East Asia for five years where he served as a Field Coordinator and evangelist for Friends Network. 

 

Vicar Year – 

Vicar Noah Nordlie is currently assigned to Sahuarita Grace and will explain the vicar program and what his responsibilities and opportunities have been at a home mission. 

 

Proposed Mission Offering Project: #HM-2024-12: Vicars in Mission Settings 

This program allows a Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary student to receive field training with a home missionary in an actual home mission congregation. Although money is available through budgetary funding, your support of this project will allow even more students to participate in this training.

 

  

Freewill Offering :   Friends Network

 Friends Network (formerly Friends of China and Friends of Vietnam) is a WELS-affiliated ministry. They have trained and supported over 340 lay missionaries since the year 2000. These missionaries work in partnership with WELS and ELS world missionaries and national CELC churches. 

Pill Bottle Collection for CAMM :  The Central Africa Medical Mission (CAMM) is in need of pill bottles.  The pill bottles are used to send creams, ointments, or syrups home with patients.  If a particular condition does not require the entire tube or bottle that is purchased from the pharmacy shop to be given to the patient this is the way in which they are able to stretch the pharmaceutical budget even further.  We will have a box available where you can bring your empty pill bottles.  Please bring them clean(medications can leave a residue), dry and with the label removed.  The best pill bottles are 3″x 1.25″ and 3″ x 1″.  A bottle 3″ x 1.5″  is OK.  Please avoid the larger bottles that are 4″ x 2″.  We will also take a collection at the Fall Rally if you wish to bring them then.
